For what it's worth, I wouldn't mind seeing the displacement bump to 3.0L.
That way I could bring my BMW CSL. Or a Porsche.
Either way, I've already warned my wife I'm a pumpkin at 9:00. See you folks online!

I just thought I'd drop in here to mention that I recently purchased Blur for 11 bucks and change from Best Buy, thanks to a couple stackable coupons I found on www.slickdeals.net

For those that don't know, Blur is made by the guys behind the Project Gotham series, and it's basically the same type of game, but now it features Mario Kart style power ups.
Speaking of Project Gotham, PGR4 is 6 bucks on Amazon.

Alfa gets the nod for speed - le Mans was like a leisurely drive in the country since the alfa drove off and left me. Tighter courses with sweepers like road atlanta were the porsche's advantage. Places like Road America and Sebring were back and forth. Seems like there was a good percentage of time where we were within a sec or two of each other if not right on the other's bumper.
Yeah, that was a pretty good run. Those cars are matched pretty well. If I can keep from having a six pack beforehand, I might be able to do something with the little GTV.

9PM Eastern. Yep, we will start at Road Atlanta. I had a little dice there with Tom, and I remembered how awesome that track is.
Quick question on displacement. Do displacement upgrades count towards the <2.5 rule?
I've went bigger on the turbo but the car still accelerated quicker when I had a smaller turbo with a upgraded displacement.
I just want to say...thank you for playing in my dictatorship...
(seriously, if anyone wants to vote on any aspect of this series, please let me know. We are an "autonomous collective".)
Question, two hours to race time, since I can't join you guys until I get a good high speed connection, any chance of posting finishing time so that I might know where I'm at with everyone else? Or, I could run 10 laps and let you all know what my time is. Takers? Really, I just need to get to the point where I don't have to steal wifi bandwidth from the library across the street.

Well you could always build a wifi cannon and point it at the library. might bbe able to suck off 3megs/sec. thats all the xbox needs.
You all seem to have started with out me...
Also maroon92, i tried to FR ya, it says its some guy from russia, and the invites like 4 days old now...
sorry guys. We had a full room at 8, and I am not really good at figuring out what we should do, or how to figure out what could have been done.
maybe if everyone knows everyone else, we could have two rooms running concurrently.
Racerfink - 20
Blitzed306 and GRM Tom - 14
JGPasterjak - 10
Friedgrncorrado - 8
BCBrownell - 6
Colonel Tommy and Gimp - 3
In true touring car tradition, the performance balancing begins already.
Anyone running the Alfa Romeo has to run at 415 PI now.
I must have been going for the concours, it obviously wasn't for speed I've managed to build an evil handling 914

FWIW, my Lotus Elan is over a second quicker a lap at Road Atlanta.
I didn't test the 2000GT, or the Lancia Stratos, but of all the others I ran, the Elan was BY FAR the fastest.
What are the average track times on Road Atlanta so far? My 2000GT-R seems to have gotten down to about 1:46. How do I compare?

As I remember, Mark Donahue did RA in 1:21, but he was driving a 917, it was 1972, and that was the old track format, before they tampered with turn 10.
Oh, you meant "virtual" racing? Oops. My bad.
