Friggin' people who have no business making abbreviations. Like Y2K. Okay, fine. But then the lamers ran with it, and would write, say 2016 as 2K16.

My favorite (thing to hate lately) in abbreviations is substituting in the number of letters removed. "internationalization" becomes "i18n."
