My sister-in-law moved into my house yesterday due to personal crap. I was suggesting old movies to my son (Apollo 13) and she starts in how the moon landing was fake and they don't even know how to get to the moon today.
Nope, I was alive then an witnessed it all. It was real. Not going there.

I knew a guy who was the same way and he was old enough to have watched it live on T.V.
I hired a guy at the tool store who told me the same thing. My answer was: There are mirrors placed on the moon that they use to bounce a laser beam back to earth to measure how far away it is. There's also instructions on the internet on how to find them and do the same thing yourself. How do you suppose they got there?
Simple fact is, it would have been cheaper to go to the moon than to have paid everyone involved in faking it to keep their mouths shut this long.

100 years ago indoor plumbing was a rarity. Now 2/3rds of the planet has a cell phone, despite the fact that they've only been around roughly 25 years.

Despite the doom and gloom in the media, we're doing a pretty good job at raising the living standards of most of the world:

Corridor Digital explained what would be involved with trying to fake the footage and their takeaway was that, with the film and FX tech of the time, it was actually be easier to fly to the moon than to fake the footage to a convincing level

And it was basically an afterthought built out of a decent number of off-the-shelf parts.
