the aftermarket winter rims i bought off CL for my AWD E60 are spec'd for an E90, so 17x7.5 ET32 instead of ET40.
last winter, i hit a pothole i named "Pantera" (because it was berkeleying hostile) and damaged 1 of the 4 rims. tire was not damaged and did not lose air, so i drove on it for the rest of the winter.
last week, time to install winter tires, i'll go on CL and find another rim. no dice. oh well, i have a job, i'll go to tirerack.com and buy a matching rim.
i chose 2007 525xi and ordered a matching rim (Sport Edition A7). it's 17x7.5 ET40.
minor confession: i don't GAF. i got the tire mounted and balanced, scrapped the damaged rim, and am currently rolling on 3 ET32's and 1 ET40.

The Jaguar is a prettier car but but also fairly reliable. You never see a high mileage Maserati so I figured I might be the lucky one. Or drive myself closer to insanity. Either way would be interesting.
Young Sheldon is more entertaining than it should be.
I’m trying to lose weight, and eat better. However, I’ve spent the last few days in Canada. I’ve eaten poutine twice.
In reply to eastsideTim :
I had four corned beef sandwiches in the past 12 hours and all of them had a healthy dose of horseradish and mayonnaise (majonez).
And for lunch yesterday I had a 12" barbeque chicken pizza. With ranch dressing dip (aka mayonez for wimps) because it was on front of me so of course I would eat it
Being hurt is finally useful, I'm watching my wife assemble the Christmas tree from the comfort of a recliner!
I farted so hard, I woke up SWMBO.
I'm proud enough if this I'll probably repost this in the Minor Win Thread as well.
Every time I see a 4 door Fairmont I remember the one a guy brought to the parts house one day. 5 lug converted, skinnies up front, 28x10.5s in the rear, had the required drag car stance. Dude popped the hood and it had the stock 6 cylinder with a single barrel on it. That's been several months ago and the car looked pretty clean so I hope it's actually got some power now.

Everytime someone see's the tach, tire rubber caked on the quarter panels and wheels on my zephyr wagon they ask me what's in it. You should see the disappointment when I tell them it's the stock i6.

Relevant! Just bought a 6cyl 4 door zephyr. Confession: I low balled the guy HARD and I did it in front of his wife, knowing he'd say yes and knowing he'd be on the couch for it.

Confession 2, your thread reminded me of that car.
In reply to eastsideTim :
So am i but i would have eaten poutine more than twice.
My dad went into the hospital with pneumonia for the umpteenth time. I joked that I guess I won't have to buy him a Christmas gift this year. My wish looks like it might come true.

If I could find another wagon for as cheap as I found mine near as solid I'd buy them all. My wife actually purchased mine as a birthday present and got a cheaper price then the guy told me.
I really should have stayed in school to make video games so I could get paid for selling half finished garbage then laugh at my customers when they complain

That is sad news to have to share. My dad had many hospitalizations, but when he passed, it was still a horrible blow. There is nothing anyone can say to make it better. Be there with him if you can - even if it is facetime or something like that.
Take care of yourself.
I used to rag on Nickelback for being generic and formulaic and only made to appeal to butt rock stations, and maybe it's that popular rock music is getting worse but I'm starting to feel a sense of nostalgia for Nickelback
I may of shed a tear when I saw my Jeep drive off with the new owner today. I owned it for 6 years and it was my daily driver.
The day I brought it home:
The day I sold it:
The new owner driving it off:
Thanks for the good times Jeep, 2012-2018

The more I hear Beatles songs, the more I think they were the most overrated boy band in history.
Every time i see "team stampie flips an explorer" i hope for pictures of bloen out firrstones and carnage.

I remember us having the same problem with somebody asking about flipping trailers.
