Well...  Voltage shocks, current burns.  3VDC is enough to kill you if applied directly to the heart.  Edison electrocuted an elephant with DC to promote his AC systems as safer, and it wasn't all that much voltage to do it.

You got that backwards. Edison was the big DC guy and was trying to discredit Tesla/Westinghouse's AC systems. Edison killed the elephant with AC (it was also 6600V) partially to try and discredit Nikola Tesla/Westinghouse, but more just to promote his film company. By that point the Current War was pretty much over and it was becoming obvious that Tesla had resoundingly won. Particularly ironic was earlier, when NY State approached Edison for a new way to perform executions, Edison bought Westinghouse AC gear to prove his point, only for repeated attempts to fail to kill the guy. Westinghouse promptly crowed that AC was so safe, it wouldn't kill someone even when intentionally used to kill them.

Sorry, Nikola Tesla is one of my favorite historical figures, and I love the subject of the Current Wars.

D'oh!  You're right, I had it bass ackwards.

Guess I have had too much of Edison's medicine.

I've enjoyed watching NBA games a lot this month because all the stars were out and they had a lot of g-league guys playing. I like watching the underdog play like hell and greatly enjoyed the AAF for the same reason.

But watching actual g league games is boring

It took me until yesterday to watch Ford vs. Ferrari

Getting that many vehicles in for live filming was truly impressive!

Few people know about Al Williams' Gulfhawk IV.  3,000lbs(!) lighter than the standard F8F Bearcat.

I'll let that one slide because Biplane. Even though the retractable landing gear just seems wrong to me.

I'm more of a Stearman guy.

Or this one?

Or even this one?

Just checking.

Hanging out at the GF's house this weekend. She has to work all day so I've been working on her Jeep and some small maintenance items around the house (changing light bulbs, etc).

Got all of that done so what does every self respecting dude do now? Get wine drunk, listen to crappy '90s music and hang out with her cats of course!

They would all look far better without that color scheme.

I'm probably going to end up with my hamstrings cut by the barn kittens as they throw themselves at my legs and climb up my pants.

Good thing that the current weather conditions are not cargo shorts suitable, or I'd have bled out by now.

February may be the shortest month of the year, but Dry January is, by far, the longest.

Tax refund got deposited today so I've been stalking FB looking for 2007+ CVPIs. A local dealer that buys them from auction has like 12+ cars right now. I know the 2007+ got better suspension and the 2009s are the last year before drive-by-wire. What else should I be looking for?

2005 started drive by wire. 2003 got a slightly different suspension than the 02.

I know little about cop cars, but you get 100 Internet Points for correctly saying "tax refund" instead of "tax return".

First thing I thought... Duke's going to be happy with that

I keep getting sidetracked in my search for a black 9C1/3 and start considering other, usually more expensive, cars. The latest is a Regal GS 6spd manual. Nice car. Probably too nice for me.
