Found these today.
Pretty sure this is the first Hotwheels Kia.
My “collecting” is pretty much just occasionally checking at the grocery store and picking anything I think is cool, so I don’t usually buy any of the fancy $5 stuff. Today I had to make an exception for a tiny version of one of the prettiest race cars ever.
There was a yellow NA Miata too, so now I have a blue one and a yellow one.
So I got this Sparky in last night and I am not sure if I should open it or not, what do you guys think?
I open everything. It's no fun if you can't drive imaginary races around your table tops and floors. With your kids, of course (cough).

I need one of those to put next to my BRE 510s.

The first version is SOO much better. I moved some last week, I'll try to find a pic

The new AFX Mega G Plus cars are that good...
I have a couple of these yellow Porsches to play with. For some reason the black wheels just didn’t seem right so I went to work with a silver sharpie. I think it turned out ok, considering it was a 5 minute experiment.
I’m working on something more involved for the other one. This is fun. I think I’ve found a new hobby.

At $1 a car, it's cheaper than therapy.
This is true, and I should know, I'm a therapist.

I'm in as well.

I think you’re on to something. It’s what I’ve been doing in the middle of the night waiting for the baby to go back to sleep. Cutting up tiny cars and gluing then back together is strangely relaxing.
I really shouldn't be buying anymore diecast stuff ( I have boxes of these in storage), but sometimes I can't help myself. Picked up a pair of sweet "wagons":
That Volvo was found in the grocery store, and my friend actually sent me the TMNT Party Wagon after not being able to find it locally.
Not sure if this was mentioned before but there's a show on motor trend called life size where an NHRA driver checks out and drives the full size versions of a few special hot wheels. It's a little cheesy but fun.
Not sure anyone tried to collect the 1/50 scale stuff from 05-08 but it's something I love. They were really cool studies and not faithful to the 1/64 scale.
I'll post more as I get around but my favorite casting of all time was released in this scale and has been a BEAR to track all the releases down. I'll have a post on that later.
You'll need to log in to post.
