The Glen is always one of my better tracks to race on. I have been learning the game as I am normally an rFactor guy. The garage settings are a bit different and will take me some time. To be competitive is what I like to be. I found the soft tires were good for the distance and as long as I was easy and didn't try to out brake myself I could be smooth.
Daytona road coase should be fun to run. I will need to work on my gearing, I am getting left behind on the straights. Overall very fun.

I think I was the one that tapped you... sorry about that.
You're good. I was braking a bit early into that corner, I found I could get the NSX set to a line and get on the power much earlier and carry more speed down that straight. I'm guessing that caught you off guard. But, your etiquette was perfect... 5/5 stars, would race again.

The second race is always rather exciting. I know there were a few incidents that might be fun to look at. I know there was one that was with (maybe Mike) that I might have cut him off a bit going into a corner, which resulted in him getting out of shape and then he was unceremoniously broadsided by Gameboy (not his fault of course). Probably no issues, but it will be interesting to look at.
I also do want to look at Deans smoke show. I saw the smoke, pretty sure I saw him off to the right side of the course and I went to the left, to find he was now positioned right behind the smoke. Got him good in the left rear.
I was moving and caught a curb. car hit on the left and pinballed across the track. I think I tried to catch it but I could not keep in front of the car snapping back. I am not sure how many people then hit me after that. I should have done better in that race but all it takes with the 911 is one laps in concentration and it will bite you. Last night was good fun!!!!
Rodan, This was your first on track with others with AC? You did exceptionally well. I mean you did not crash in front of the field and get hit by 3-4 cars like I did. ;-)
Results, standings and some pics
I'm very sure the NSX is the best launching car of the group. The video shows both of my starts, I jump 3 places in the first race. The second race was a bit of an autocross course start. I took off and immediately had to slalom around cars, cost me a lot of forward momentum.
I will most likely be on tonight for some practice.

If I was better at the clutch the 911 would be much better off the line. I need to practice that. Maybe I can get a little better at it.

Can the gearing in the 2019 911 Sprint not be changed, or am I missing something?
I can change it in the "Dean Special" and on the 2016, but not the 2019 Sprint...
Going to try to get a little more practice in later, if any of you Easterners will be on late.
No, that car is uniquely un-adjustable. You could switch cars, but you will not be able to return to that car.
Dean's idea was to just crank the wings up to keep the speed down and try and make up the time in the corners.
The Dean special I did not know had changeable gears. It should be the same as the 2019 just with different tires. The 2019 has non adjustable gears. The same as the Lexus. The 2016 has much more adjustability. The Dean tune did not do as air suggests. I did try what Air alluded to but it did not work well. I have a tune for the 2019 but it is just a couple minor tweaks. I have a tune for the 2016 that is somthing that Sauce and I both worked on. I don't have any tuning files for the Dean special. I was actually slowest in that car of the three. I will gladly share my tunes for the other two cars.

The Dean special and the 2016 911 were both slower for me than the untuned 2019 911 Sprint, so I'm going to stick with it.
I'm hoping to see some lap times from other folks in the other cars. I couldn't seem to find any pace in the Lambo or 720, and the Bentley's RHD just screws me up. I'd need a lot of seat time in it to stop putting two wheels off. Haven't tried any of the other cars at Daytona yet.
I run the cowl view so LH and RH cars don't bother me.
In reply to Rodan :
If you select the seating position app, you can slide the driving position over to the correct side of the car.

Still figuring AC out... had no idea you could do that, thanks!
That was some exciting racing last night!!!! I had a lot of fun chasing Gameboy in the first race. Next week at Spa is looking to be interesting. I had to completely re do the suspension on the 911 to make a lap with out crashing. I am hoping further changes to the dif will help further.
I'm pretty comfortable with the NSX and settled back into driving again. Given that I'm locked in a titanic battle with Air and he's jumped into the 911 which seems really fast, I might have to test another car to see if I can close the performance gap.

I only have a HC of 2 not 3. I have been 2nd two weeks in a row now.
Need to get some time in to continue work on my setup for the next race. I thought this track was going to be one of the easy ones. I am so wrong!!! The 911 is diabolical to drive.
Everyone ready for tonight? I did not get any laps in this week so I will aim to get on early. This should be a very interesting race now that the handy caps are settling in. I still think Gameboy is one of the favorites especially if he is keeping it flat through the first complex. I can not do that and even worse is the car wants to come around. I nuked the factory setup and baselines the car and then soffened it up a bunch and then started tuning with shocks and bars to make the car very newtral. I went with a really soft setup to see if I can tame the beast but I have not tested enough to know if it is faster or slower. I guess not crashing should be the priority on this one.
I am looking forward to tonight. I think we are going to have some tight racing through the whole field.
