It really does. And the rustoleum just has a character to ot that shows so well at speed and in photos.
Im stoked to go for a drive soon.
So, went around the block gently. Theres still no support for the missing ppf.
Trans shifts fine, no noises or any other noted issues at this time.
Hopefully I'll get the duster buttoned up this weekend and can burn together the ppf and see what we actually have! I know it feels different going from the 4:10 to 3.63, in a good way.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
I'd love to see what it does in the quarter with the 3.63. I'm betting 13s.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Oh! Can I get another chance to break it in the drags? I think with those gears I could get 13s NA.
In reply to Stampie :
Most likely!
And im thinking 13.8 @~100 na. High 12s if i get the blower right or toss the bottle back in.
And, because it only took 30 minutes to finish....
Its good. Really good. Little noise on deceleration, but nothing major. And the posi works. And the rs4 are no longer round.
In reply to Stampie :
Unfortunately, yes. At least for our courses. But its a lot better based upon the limited driving ive done so far.
So, got it legal today and am using it to run the kid to theater class. This new gearing changes the car in a very good way. It now feels more factory and less hack if that makes sense. Quieter, better drivability in every gear.
God i missed this car. Needs power steering and air conditioning though. And a real thermostat. And a blower.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael :
Are you thinking electric power steering? I've been debating on that vs. traditional for mine.
I looked into that. However, i ultimately decided to track down the 3.4 camaro accessory drive to enable me to use a traditional thermostat, have shorter hoses and less fabbed parts, a hydraulic pump system, and maybe make the blower easier.

Good call ^
Hopefully. Dunno if i can install with the drivetrain in place....
And ill have to get a new rack too. And various other parts to build it all out.
Step one, however, is driving the current changes more.
I registered for track night in america on the 28th at Charlotte motor speedway.
Previous roll bar wasn't legal, so i traded stampie for one that is.
Lotta work to prep for the track night, but I'll be there!
