Yep. He will quadruple the money he has in it. As long as I get my paycheck every week, I don't care what he does with it

In reply to Woody:
Take a deep breath, think about that Legacy, and getting in over your head.
But I was hopping you would get it.
Business side of me says parting a scruffy gt/4 is a good ROI. Car guy side of me sees a perfectly salvageable classic car being destroyed. I wonder how many are left out of the 1500 that made it to the US (or 3200 total).
I guess I can understand the business side of it but I can not wrap my heart around pulling apart a nice car. Oh well.

If the condition of the body is anything like the interior, that car may not be salvageable....it looks like wolverines lived in it.

Yeah, but they were classy wolverines...
That there would be a hole rotted in the roof. It would appear that it has been in the field for 15 years.
I doubt anything but the paint is maintaining the shape. of a car
Well, it looks like it's one of the cars that require an investment of roughly twice the value of the car to get into decent shape.
It would almost be worth the money to buy it and just let it sit in the garage, so you can tell people you own a Ferrari.
It does make you wonder how a person can let a car like that rot away.

The wheels on that alone are probably worth $3000.

Looks like he may be letting an older MB wagon and a couple of boats rot away too. Simply amazing.
The problem with cheap exotics - they get cheap enough for the average schmoe to buy - except average schmoe doesn't have the skills, knowledge or income to maintain them. Predictably, exotics don't get the care/feeding they need and break. Repairs cost more than schmoe can handle, but they can't afford or don't want to take the loss - so they sit and rot. Realistically, that's a parts car. PO should be slapped.

Ooh...missed that when I was imagining tearing out the interior and flocking the dash.
