Turns out officer funderpants had a home in Windermere (which I don't know how, E36 M3s expensive there) band they've been gathering there and protesting and throwing rocks etc etc. As fried as Florida is right now with the covid lockdown murdering the economy- the last thing we need is riots.
Richmond got hot last night with a cop car and bus burned. Everyone had gone to bed by the time we were up at 5 to stake out spots for a high-rise demo in the AM.
Not sure how Los Angeles will go , a few days ago there was a march that ended up closing the freeway in downtown LA and a few cars got trashed , but that was all so far ,
The weather is going to be 80F this weekend so at least not 100F like a week or 2 ago , that seem to matter here , maybe more drinking when its hot ,
Hopefully the LAPD can keep it together , they already let a lot of things slide since they do not want to get the Virus , hopefully that does not come back to bite them in the butt when the bad guys think they can get away with Shttt

There has been some fabricated posts on social media regarding this. There is a Windermere Township in Northern Pine County and it's all rural up there. A high end fancy townhome in that very rural area? Who knows? I'm not going to post it here as it's not true but it was in a twitter posting from the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Minnesota, that posted that the ex officer owned property there, but he is not at that location himself. Fact is there is no Orange County in Minnesota (and ex officer is in jail).

The vandals aren't honoring Mr Floyd at all in their actions.
Hopefully the 17,400 National guard can bring the protest back to peaceful.

Louisville got rowdy last night. They are dealing with the fallout of a horribly botched police raid where plainclothed officers executed a "no knock" warrant in the middle of the night and shot an innocent woman to death in her bed. The address they had was wrong (literally by miles) and the police weren't wearing body cameras (plainclothes cops apparently don't have to?) and they charged her boyfriend with attempted murder of a police officer because he got off a single shot (to their dozens). Those charges were later dropped.
All in all it seems like a recipe for total disaster (I know I'd be shooting if dudes kicked in my front door without knocking and identifying themselves).
So yeah, Louisville has some hard feelings going on right now.
Denver has been interesting. It's all been on 16th street in and around the capitol building. There were shots fired 2 nights ago. I was 5 blocks away when that occurred.
My house about a little over a mile from there and keep getting woke up by the fire department roaring out all hours. I camped in the mountains last night just to stay away from all of it and get a good night's sleep.
This is the closest I've been to tear gas and rubber bullets and I've traveled to many 3rd world nations were the cops carry AKs or ARs openly on the streets as a standard patrol.

The family hired their own person. The cops were 100% wrong. I'm just curious if the conclusion of the 2nd guy is the same as the first, then what? All of this destruction is based on "he choked him to death" what if that ends up not being true?

Doubtful. From what I've heard, the family has scheduled a 2nd autopsy, so it's unlikely the M.E. is going to "fudge" the report. If they wanted to "help out" the officer, all they would have to say is cause of death "could not be determined". If, in fact, they said "not positional asphyxia" (I haven't actually seen the report or heard from anyone who claims they did, everything I've seen is "sources say" stuff), it seems likely they found a pretty clear other cause of death (stroke, heart attack, etc.). That doesn't mean Barney Fife is in the clear, but it makes the whole "caused the death of" part of any homicide/manslaughter charge an open question. I'm not saying he should or will get off, but it may make the state's legal case much less "clear cut". Regardless, I fully expect he will be charged federally with civil rights violations, and he almost certainly won't beat those charges.

My opinion, no matter what the actual medical cause of death is, George Floyd ws killed by a police officer kneeling on his neck for no reason. I think this is the exact text from either the coroner or the Hennepin County Attorney, although I could be mistaken:
“The combined effects of Mr. Floyd being restrained by police, his underlying health conditions and any potential intoxicants in his system likely contributed to his death.”
The bolded part was the part that can be immediately controlled. There is the catalyst. There is the problem, and to me, the cause of death. Ultimately, he was murdered one way or another by a police officer.
Whether he choked him or sat on his chest, the cop is responsible, in my opinion. I'm sure lawyers involved will fight it out. Someone that is talking "I can't breath" is not being choked, but could very well have not been able to breath because some 220 lb cop is sitting on his chest. You don't see what is happening on the other side of that fender.

This was Sacremento PD on May 11th, guy in the video was not the person on the warrant they had, he was also charged with resisting arrest. Not as bad as Louisville, but its a systemic problem

You can see what is happening on the other side; people recorded the incident from four or five different angles. One cop is on his chest, one is holding his legs, one is holding his arms, one is standing by and watching everything.
The Minneapolis newspaper has a list of nearly 250 businesses that have been damaged or destroyed so far, and admit the list is incomplete. The ironic thing is how many of them are minority owned.
Saw a report in Forbes that a high percentage of those arrested in the riots in Minneapolis were from out of state. Looks like the professional shiny happy people are at it again, probably from both sides of the situation.
Not trying to defend anybody just a point of interest. My ex is an RN and made the comment that the cops that visit her ER (3rd shift charge nurse on weekends sees a lot of them) said they are taught that if a perp can say "i cant breathe" that they can. I have read that Floyd stopped talking and moving so that throws that out the window.

It's unclear. The governor said this morning that 80% were from out of state, this afternoon a local TV station reviewed county jail records and found the vast number of people arrested had Minnesota addresses. That's not to say there aren't many more from out of state who haven't been arrested.
